TEMEL (HAMZA) BAHADIR
Temel Bahadir är född i Trabzon, Turkiet, 1947, utbildad och verksam som metallkonstnär och lärare vid Istanbuls lärarhögskola
innan han kom till Göteborg och gick igenom HDK, Högskolan för design och konsthantverk, 1986-90. I Göteborg har han stannat och
var medlem av konsthantverksgruppen Sintra, 1990 - 2007, och Galleri Metallum, Sthlm, 1992 - 1995. Han arbetar med smycken och
corpus i blandade metaller. Han har deltagit i en lång rad utställningar och fick 1994 Göteborgs stads kulturstipendium.
Temel Bahadir was born in Trabzon, Turkey, 1947. He was a senior lecturer at Istanbul's Teachers Training College when he moved to
Sweden in 1984 and got his MA in metalcrafts at HDK (School of Design and Crafts, University of Gothenburg) 1986-90. He has been a
member of crafts cooperatives Metallum in Stockholm, 1992-95, and Sintra in Gothenburg, 1990-2007. He has shown his work at various
crafts institutions and exibitions and in 1994 was given Gothenburg's culture award. He works mainly with jewellery in mixed metals.
